About Language Link London

Language Link was established in 1975 and is now one of the most successful international language training organisations. Our London schools are accredited by the British Council and are members of English UK. Our teacher training school is recognised by Cambridge ESOL. Language Link also has excellent links with a number of major UK Universities.

Language Link has partner schools throughout the world in China, Russia, Vietnam and Uzbekistan.

Over the past 30 years the Language Link name has earned a reputation as a provider of high quality training to students from more than 50 countries around the world.

Language Link school is in South Kensington, a fashionable and cosmopolitan area of London in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, within a few minutes of the West End. South Kensington is the cultural heart of London with its many museums, colleges and royal societies. It is famous for its cafés, pubs, restaurants, shopping streets, and is only a short walk from Hyde Park. So you can easily combine your studies with the cultural and sporting events and the social and night life for which London is well known.

Teaching at Language Link is focussed on students' needs, interests and aims. Lessons take place in an environment in which learners are being constantly challenged and motivated in order to develop confidence in their own ability. We only employ teachers with special qualifications in English language teaching. Many of our staff are qualified and experienced teacher trainers. Students are carefully tested in all four language skills, then graded and assigned to a class suited to their level of English.

The school is a well-equipped language college with modern facilities. The classrooms are bright and our teachers use TVs, videos, DVDs, CD players, cassette recorders and overhead projectors. There is a computer room with free Internet access and a comfortable students' room for you to relax in. Our library has a large selection of books and you can also borrow cassettes and videos. We also have a WiFi connection to give students free unlimited access to the Internet on their personal laptops.

Language Link teachers are friendly, helpful and professional. Using a variety of modern resources and teaching techniques, they will rapidly improve your ability to use English in social or business situations. Lessons are planned around core elements of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, with a special emphasis on speaking, listening, reading and writing.

When you first arrive at school, the school registrar will meet you and present you with a welcome pack. After a short test, Claire, our Director of Studies, will interview you to decide on your level of English so we can recommend the most suitable class for you.

Language Link closes for 2 weeks over Christmas and on all UK Public Holidays.

At the end of their studies students receive a certificate stating the level of English achieved.
